Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an Alarm & Suppression Estimator to prepare proposals for fire alarm and suppression systems. You will perform bid layouts, material takeoffs, pricing, quotes, and code research, coordinating with sales and operations to meet deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years designing or estimating alarm systems, NFPA familiarity, strong math, and proficiency in MS Office. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing or estimating fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read, interpret NFPA codes and apply requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and takeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Perform bid layouts and material takeoffs.
• Obtain vendor pricing and write quotes.
• Produce timely estimates per fixed bid dates.
• Update project reports and participate in planning meetings.
• Travel to job sites as needed.
