Job summary

Lead Bank is seeking a Regulatory Product Counsel to support its Banking-as-a-Service and payments businesses. You will provide practical, product-minded legal guidance to internal stakeholders across onboarding, launch, expansion, and oversight.

The role partners with Product, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and other legal team members to scale partner oversight. The attorney will translate banking and payments regulation into actionable guidance, helping teams move quickly within risk tolerance

Qualifications

• Strong legal judgment and analytical rigor.
• Ability to balance legal, regulatory, operational, and business considerations.
• Comfort working cross-functionally with legal and non-legal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal and regulatory guidance for the Bank’s BaaS and payments initiatives.
• Advise product teams on consumer financial laws and regulatory requirements.
• Track regulatory developments and translate into practical guidance.
• Help build scalable review processes, playbooks, and documentation.
