Job summary

ClarityPay seeks a Product Counsel to join its foundational legal and compliance team. This senior role provides regulatory guidance across product development, compliance, and commercial contracting to support rapid fintech growth.

The candidate will manage regulatory requirements for launches, risk assessments, and collaboration with compliance and customer service teams, reporting to the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school
• 7+ years of legal experience (including 2+ years at a law firm)
• deep expertise in consumer financial services regulation
• strong contract drafting, negotiation and legal research skills
• ability to leverage AI tools in legal work
• Fintech lending experience and regulatory risk assessment experience

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory requirements for product launches and ongoing compliance
• Conduct legal risk assessments and advise on commercial terms
• Support compliance and customer service teams
• Manage commercial contracts and related negotiations
• Drive key legal/compliance projects with the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer
