Job summary

RealPage seeks a Fintech Counsel to act as the primary legal advisor for payment processing, money transmission, and consumer lending initiatives across RealPage Payments (ClientDirect), ResidentDirect, ClickPay, and Livble.

You'll partner with product, engineering, and business teams to navigate regulatory requirements, draft user-facing disclosures, and manage banking and vendor agreements. Strong experience with federal consumer financial laws and MDR processes is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum five (5) years of legal experience in financial services, payments, money transmission, or consumer financial products.
• Experience advising on payment processing, money services business operations, and/or consumer lending programs.
• Working knowledge of federal consumer financial laws and regulations (BSA/AML, Regulation E, Z, TILA, ECOA, FCRA, UDAAP, GLBA).
• Experience negotiating financial services agreements and supporting regulatory examinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal review and guidance on the design and launch of new financial products across RealPage Payments, ResidentDirect, ClickPay, and Livble.
• Partner with product, engineering, and business teams from ideation through go-to-market to identify and mitigate legal/regulatory risk.
• Advise on payment network rules, card brand requirements, ACH rules, and state/federal regulations.
• Develop disclosures, agreements, terms of service, and product documentation for payments and lending products.
• Evaluate licensing, regulatory filing, and change notification obligations for product changes.
• Support due diligence for M&A and strategic initiatives.
