Job summary

Satispay is seeking a Legal Counsel to provide high-level guidance within the dynamic fintech sector, focusing on payments, e-money, and consumer credit products. You will advise on regulatory, contractual, and product-related matters to ensure compliance and mitigate risks, collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership.

The role requires a qualified lawyer with 5+ years PQE (8–10 preferred) and deep knowledge of PSD2, AML/KYC, and CCD2; experience in fintech and both private practice

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE, ideally 8–10 years of professional legal experience.
• Deep knowledge of financial and consumer credit regulations (PSD2, AML/KYC, EMRs, CCD2) with fintech/payments experience.
• Ability to dive deep into complex legal issues and exercise sound risk-based judgment.
• Understanding of technology/engineering in fintech, payments, and consumer lending; balance legal risk with commercial needs.
• English fluency (written and spoken) is essential; Italian or French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level legal guidance on regulatory, contractual, and product matters in payments and consumer credit.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and launch new products with legal input.
• Identify regulatory risks and propose mitigation aligned with risk appetite.
• Advise leadership and promote a culture of legal awareness across the organization.
