Job summary

Range is seeking an Associate General Counsel to join its mission-driven fintech team, reporting to the Chief Legal Officer. This role will own contract review and negotiation, partner with compliance on regulatory matters, and support corporate transactions in an investment adviser and broker-dealer environment.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, active bar membership (VA, DC, or MD preferred), and in-house experience in technology or financial services.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership (VA, DC, or MD preferred).
• In-house experience in technology, financial services, or fintech.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with business teams.
• Build contract templates and playbooks for scale.
• Partner with compliance on regulatory matters and inquiries.
• Support corporate transactions, financings, partnerships, and M&A diligence.
• Manage external counsel and provide practical regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams.
