Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect to lead customer engagements around the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform. You will work with customers, the product team, and post-sales teams to identify use cases, design architectures, and guide implementations to deliver measurable value across data engineering, analytics, and ML.

You will build references and demos, promote open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow, share best practices, and travel to customers in your region

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience building solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Data Engineering technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Data Warehousing (SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS).
• FS industry experience is a plus.
• Degree in CS, Applied Math, or Operations Research.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the sales team to help customers understand value of Databricks.
• Provide technical leadership for customers to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architecture and proof-of-concept projects.
• Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demos.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects across communities and events.
• Travel to customers in the region.
