Job summary

Velera Solutions, LLC is seeking a FinOps Lead to oversee cloud financial management strategy, promoting cost transparency and optimization across AWS, Azure, and multi-cloud environments. You will report to the VP of Platform Engineering and help establish a FinOps CoE with cross-functional collaboration.

You will implement cost dashboards, governance controls, and training to drive cost awareness and value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5+ years of cloud financial management or infrastructure operations experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional optimization initiatives.
• Strong analytical capabilities with SQL, data modeling, and BI platforms.
• Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud cost and billing frameworks.
• Ability to implement governance, tagging, chargeback/showback, and cost allocation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead FinOps Center of Excellence (CoE).
• Foster financial accountability across engineering, finance, and leadership teams.
• Develop dashboards to allocate cloud costs and unit economics.
• Drive governance and cost-optimization initiatives across clouds.
• Partner with development, network, and infrastructure teams on cost-aware decisions.
