Job summary

Cerence AI is seeking a FinOps Developer to drive visibility, accountability, and optimization of cloud spend across a global Azure-first environment. You will build, evolve, and maintain tools that improve cost transparency and operational excellence, modernizing data pipelines and cost accounting in your first year.

The role requires 2+ years in FinOps or cloud finance, experience with Azure/AWS/GCP cost management, SQL, Power BI, and data pipelines, plus strong communication to translate

Qualifications

• 2+ years in FinOps or related cloud roles.
• Experience with cost management using Azure/AWS/GCP and third-party tools.
• Proficient in SQL, data analysis, dashboards (Power BI preferred).
• Experience with data pipelines on Fabric, Power BI, Kubecost, Python.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve cloud cost reporting across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Design and maintain tooling for budgeting, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
• Maintain data pipelines, models, dashboards, and automation for FinOps.
• Improve cost allocation via labeling, tagging, showback, and chargeback.
• Support cost optimization initiatives and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cloud financial accountability.
• Document processes to build team data foundation.
• Leverage AI to automate tasks and monitoring.
