Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Director-level Cloud FinOps leader to own long-range planning and monthly forecasts for public cloud cost and usage across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

You will partner with engineering, finance, and GTM teams to drive cost visibility, governance, and optimization initiatives, including discount coverage and utilization, with dashboards and reporting to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in related fields with a degree, or 8+ years with a master's, or 5+ with PhD.
• 5+ years in FinOps or cloud financial management.
• Hands-on AWS, GCP, Azure experience.
• Forecasting, budgeting, and enterprise-level cost optimization.
• Proven cross-functional leadership with Eng, Finance, and execs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize cloud spend across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Build cloud cost forecasting models and monthly forecasts.
• Establish long-range planning for public cloud costs.
• Track optimization opportunities and discount coverage.
• Create dashboards and reports for cloud expenses.
• Define cost allocation methods per customer and per instance.
• Promote cloud cost governance best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and GTM teams on migrations and planning.
• Support demand planning and capacity reservation with providers.
