Job summary

Amazon Global Finance Operations Services is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to support the FinOps growth. You will collaborate with vendors, offshore partners, vendor managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time, accurate invoice payments.

You will dive into vendor payment data, drive improvements, standardize processes, and tackle root causes across systems. This role will support teams across multiple time zones, including PST, as part of the FinOps Support Center.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
• 3+ years of finance experience.
• 2+ years applying KPIs to analyses.

Responsibilities

• Understand and execute procure-to-pay processes, especially payment processing.
• Recognize escalation trends and identify defects and root causes.
• Partner with and influence upstream and downstream teams.
• Leverage data from databases and tools (Excel/SQL) for reporting and analysis.
• Create and maintain SOPs and Amazon-specific documents.
• Report key metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Escalate issues to leadership for investigation and resolution.
• Drive continuous process improvements and lead projects.
• Manage ambiguous situations and communicate with multiple stakeholders.
