Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a Finishing Operator for the 3rd shift (Sun-Thur, 11:45pm–8am). You will participate in machine set ups, troubleshoot, and adjust production lines while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will record data, assist with changeovers, and work within a team to meet production goals, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and 5S practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Regard safety as a core value; serve as a role model for others.
• Strong service and quality focus; address issues effectively.
• Able to cross-train and sustain acquired skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and dependability to support production and customer focus.
• Able to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
• Proficiency with computer applications, especially MFG Pro transactional skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Manufacture products to required specifications for Finishing assets.
• Run orders per product specifications and standard practices.
• Assist in routine setup and changeover of machines.
• Record downtime causes and performance data.
• Inspect the appearance of finished product.
• Contribute to group problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Perform 5S duties and audits.
• Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
• Communicate information to shift/department personnel for effective operations.
