Job summary

Avery Dennison in Ohio is seeking a finishing operator to lead machine set ups, perform changeovers, and drive quality in the finishing department on the 2nd shift (3PM–11PM), on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

You will follow safety policies, record downtime, run orders to spec, participate in 5S and CI, and assist with maintenance while coordinating with the shift to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.

• Willingness to cross-train and sustain skills.
• Demonstrated flexibility and dependability to support production.

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead machine set ups and changeovers.
• Solve problems and adjust machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.
• Manufacture products to required specifications for assets in Finishing.
• Run orders per product specs and standard practices.
• Record downtime causes and performance-to-plan.
• Inspect finished product appearance.
• Participate in 5S duties and audits.
• Assist in equipment maintenance activities as directed.
• Communicate information to shift/department personnel for effective operations.
• Participate in group problem-solving and CI activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
