Job summary

Avery Dennison in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Operator for our Finishing Department. You will lead equipment setups, run production orders, perform quality checks, and help keep manufacturing safe and efficient.

You will inspect finished goods, monitor tolerances, operate a tow motor, and record metrics in our system. This role requires a High School diploma or GED and 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Having a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read product specifications and follow SOPs.
• Comfort with learning and using manufacturing software.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setups & Operation: Perform routine machine setups, changeovers, and run orders according to product specifications.
• Troubleshooting & Quality Control: Inspect finished goods, monitor tolerances, and investigate root causes of equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Material Handling: Safely operate a tow motor/forklift to move packaging and finishing supplies.
• Data Tracking & Process Improvement: Record operating metrics in MFG Pro, perform 5S audits, and participate in problem-solving.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate across shifts and assist with peer training.
