• Basic math and ability to read English instructions.
• Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and move heavy parts.
• Ability to follow written policies, procedures, and timekeeping rules.
• Stamina to stand for a full shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.
• Willingness to learn machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Collaborative mindset to work with supervisors and teammates.
• Adaptable precision to adjust to changing production demands.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions provided by the supervisor.
• Install machine fixtures to align and secure dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures for safe operation.
• Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines per specifications.
• Monitor the production process and inspect finished parts for tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE protocols; assist with heavy parts if needed.
• Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
