Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Flight Press Operator to join a precision-driven manufacturing team.

You will set up, operate, and monitor presses, CNCs, lathes, and related equipment, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances while following process sheets and blueprints. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliability; you will work the 1st shift Monday–Friday, perform inspections with calipers and micrometers, and collaborate with supervisors to improve production

Qualifications

• Requires average math skills and ability to read instructions in English; capable of completing simple logs and reports in English.
• Must be physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy components.
• Must follow the company timekeeping policy and all other policies.
• Must stand for an entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
• Ability to learn basic machining concepts and use measuring devices proficiently.
• Work closely with supervisors and teammates to optimize production and implement improvements.
• Detail-oriented with reliable performance and adherence to quality standards.
• Demonstrates adaptability to shifting production demands while maintaining precision.
• Emphasis on accuracy and dependability in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
• Install machine fixtures by aligning and securing dies, punches, blades, or fixtures.
• Operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNCs according to specs.
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Maintain safety by wearing PPE and using crane or buddy system for heavy parts; keep area clean.
• Perform other duties and assist in different areas as needed.
