Job summary

415 Remodeling in San Francisco is hiring a Procurement Specialist to own finish material procurement for assigned projects. You will quantify, specify, source, order, track, and deliver every finish item to meet budget, design intent, and schedule, partnering with Design, Estimating, Project Management, Site Supervisors, and vendors.

You will build procurement trackers, manage quotes and POs, track lead times and deliveries, and maintain accurate spec binders for handoff and build readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in residential construction or interiors in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Design-build experience is a plus.
• Strong plan reading skills; comfortable with finish schedules, elevations, and details.
• Expert spreadsheet skills; confident with formulas, filters, and clean sheet structure.
• Experience with billing systems and basic invoice reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate material takeoffs from plans and spec sheets for finishes (tile, stone, flooring, fixtures, lighting, etc.).
• Build and maintain procurement trackers by project (SKU, finish, quantity, price, vendor, lead time, ETA).
• Request quotes, compare options, confirm availability, lock pricing with vendors.
• Issue and manage purchase orders; verify acknowledgments and details before release.
• Track lead times, backorders, substitutions, and deliveries; flag risks and propose alternates.
• Assemble, manage, and distribute project spec binders; ensure version control and handoff readiness.
