Aerotek is seeking a Finish Carpenter for residential interior finish work in Swainsboro, GA. This role centers on precise trim installation and high-quality craftsmanship, reading plans, and delivering clean, accurate finishes.
The position is Contract to Hire, onsite at Swainsboro, GA, with a first shift 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. You will work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment and collaborate with framing and drywall crews.
This role focuses on high-quality interior finish work for residential construction projects. You apply strong attention to detail to complete trim and other finish carpentry tasks, ensuring each project meets precise standards of craftsmanship and appearance.
Perform interior finish carpentry on residential construction projects, including installation of trim and other detailed finish components.
Read and interpret project plans and measurements to execute precise trim and finish work.
Measure, cut, and install various types of interior trim, moldings, and related finish materials.
Ensure all finish carpentry work meets quality standards for fit, finish, and appearance.
Coordinate with other trades such as framing and drywall to ensure smooth project progression and proper sequencing of work.
Inspect completed work for accuracy and completeness, making adjustments and corrections as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in the shop environment, following safety guidelines and proper tool usage.
Use carpentry tools and equipment effectively to complete tasks on schedule while maintaining high workmanship standards.
At least 2 years of experience as a trim carpenter or finish carpenter in residential construction.
Proficiency in finish carpentry, including detailed interior trim installation.
Strong skills in trim carpentry with the ability to produce precise and clean finishes.
General carpentry skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
Ability to work with framing and drywall elements as part of overall carpentry tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to read and follow basic construction plans and measurements.
Reliability in adhering to scheduled work hours and completing tasks within required timeframes.
Experience working on residential construction projects from framing through finish stages.
Comfort working in a shop environment with non-climate-controlled conditions.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other construction team members.
Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of assigned projects.
Ability to maintain tools and equipment in good working order.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
