Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a 1st & 2nd Shift Production Associate to assemble wooden trusses in a Marysville, OH shop. You will read production diagrams and use hand tools to cut, assemble, and finish parts, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.

The role operates on 2nd shift (4pm-2am, M-F) with potential overtime on weekends. This contract-to-hire position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliable performance in a busy wood shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year woodworking experience.
  • Minimum 1 year experience using hand tools.
  • Minimum 1 year experience reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to read and follow production diagrams and basic construction plans.

Job Description

As a Truss Builder, you operate production line equipment, assemble large wooden trusses from detailed production diagrams, finish building materials to specification, and inspect completed products to ensure quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production line equipment safely and efficiently to build wooden trusses.
  • Read and interpret production diagrams to assemble trusses according to exact specifications.
  • Use hand tools and tape measures to cut, position, and secure lumber accurately.
  • Perform woodworking tasks such as cutting, sanding, framing, and finishing materials.

Work Environment

This role is based in a large woodworking manufacturing shop where you work in groups to build trusses. The environment is production-focused, with active use of woodworking tools and equipment throughout the day. You can wear a t-shirt and shorts, but must wear steel-toe footwear and protective eyewear for safety. The position offers one shift: 2nd Shift 4pm-2am M-F, extra OT is available on Saturday and Sunday if you want it. 1

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marysville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
