Job summary

The Post Oak Hotel in Houston seeks a Restaurant Manager to oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring Forbes Five-Star service and luxury guest experiences.

You will lead staff, uphold food and beverage standards, manage costs, and maintain a compliant, high-performance environment with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of restaurant management experience.
  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Possess a strong knowledge of liquor, beer and wine.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards and procedures by training, supervising, follow-up and hands on management
  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with colleagues
  • Ensures knowledge and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Observes physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed

Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Manager to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of restaurant.
