Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in host/cashier role in fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math and cash handling procedures.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; swing shift availability essential.
• Knowledge of POS systems (Aloha, OpenTable) is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all gaming licenses and certifications, if applicable.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests, confirm reservations and manage waitlists.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus and communicate specials.
• Maintain seating charts and floor plans for optimal turnover.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and address inquiries.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently (cash, cards, gift certificates).
• Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management for a seamless dining experience.
• Resolve guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and discretion.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols and guest service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
