Job summary

Biltmore in Asheville, NC seeks an enthusiastic Host to welcome guests, guide seating, present menus, and help maintain the dining room flow during service. This role requires weekend and holiday availability and a courteous, efficient presence on guest relations throughout peak times.

Responsibilities include handling reservations (OpenTable experience helpful), cash handling if needed, and coordinating with servers to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience required, preferably front of house in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in English and basic math skills to handle cash and credit transactions.
• Familiarity with reservations software and ability to quickly learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge arriving guests, escort to tables and assist in seating.
• Answer the telephone, take reservations and maintain the reservation book.
• Maintain optimum seating flow by section and support service staff as needed.
• Prepare the dining room for service and help keep the area clean.
• Work weekends and holidays; be available across shifts from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.
