Job summary

Gila River Resorts & Casinos in Chandler, AZ is seeking a dining room assistant to support food servers in delivering an outstanding guest experience in our fine dining area.

You will greet guests, answer menu questions, maintain knowledge of the dining menu and wine offerings, handle cash with accuracy, and help maintain table settings and timely service while upholding all safety and alcohol service policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced fine dining, casual food service, or nightclub is preferred.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math for POS transactions.
• In-depth wine and alcohol knowledge preferred.
• Must learn and follow the GILA WAY and required trainings.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to guests.
• Assist with answering menu or beverage questions posed by guests.
• Maintains knowledge of the dining menu and any special items.
• Observes guests and anticipates needs and completes service steps as assigned.
• Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to guests in a clear, concise manner.
• Sets tables with proper settings in a timely, professional manner.
• Ensures food items are picked up and served promptly from kitchen/bar as ordered.
• Buses tables and maintains cleanliness during peak periods.
• Maintains a professional and tidy appearance and adheres to alcohol service policies.
