Job summary

Sonesta Hotels International Corporation is hiring a Front Server for Restaurant R'evolution (Finance) in New Orleans. You will serve meals in a fine dining setting, follow brand standards, assist the Captain, and train or mentor new staff while maintaining a clean, organized service area.

Strong guest service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently under pressure are required. Louisiana server permit is needed to perform duties.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
• Communication skills are used for training and safety purposes and interacting with guests and associates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and handle stressful situations in a production environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for transactions and handling cash.
• Valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server's Permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow service guidelines according to Brand standards.
• Ensure table is properly set for each course.
• Provide support to Captain and assist training/mentoring of new staff.
• Know all Food and Beverage menu items and use proper sales techniques.
• Handle checkout and cash procedures as outlined in training material.
• Keep service area and tools clean and organized; return items to zoned locations.
• Attend training sessions and follow opening/closing checklists and side work.
• Promote and support the restaurant vision: "To Cherish the Guest in Every Way."
• Build solid relationships with colleagues; treat others with respect and integrity.
