Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Server Assistant/Dining Room Attendant to support dining room operations. This part-time role averages 20 hours per week with shifts 10am–4:30pm (Jan–Oct) and 10am–10pm (Nov–Dec); weekends required.

Responsibilities include water service during meals and bread and butter service to assist servers in delivering a premium guest experience. You will reset tables, stock service areas, and maintain all items needed for resets while supporting leadership and the department.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Commitment to delivering world class guest service internally and externally and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with speed and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment with deadlines, and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Guest service: replenishing table items, anticipating and addressing guest needs, and clearing dining area according to restaurant procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with service procedures, established standards, company, and departmental policies.
• Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
• Replaces soiled table linens, cleans tables, and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
• Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; and spotting spills or needs.
• Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping/vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables.
