Job summary

The Lawrence, a Cunningham Restaurant Group concept in West Lafayette, Indiana, seeks an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager to ensure smooth, high‑quality service across our fine dining concepts.

You will lead front‑ and back‑of‑house teams, recruit and train staff, monitor performance, control costs, and uphold sanitation and service standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. This exempt role reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within fine dining or upscale restaurants.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage in a high‑pressure, fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager in daily operations, planning, and decision making.
• Oversee front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house staff; recruit, train, and develop team members.
• Ensure exceptional guest service and resolve guest concerns to uphold the restaurant's reputation.
• Assist in scheduling, inventory management, budgeting, and cost control.
• Support policy adherence and step in as acting General Manager in their absence.
