Job summary

Systems Intelligence, an Akima company, located at Kirtland Air Force Base, is seeking a Financial Operations Administrator to support AFNWC’s Financial Management Directorate.

This on-site role will ensure compliance with fiscal laws, administer travel, timekeeping and pay programs, and manage records and internal controls. Proficiency with DTS/ATAAPS and GTCC is required; a DoD SECRET clearance and relevant degree are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a financial role with the DAF or similar DoW component.
• Demonstrated experience with the DTS and ATAAPS.
• Understanding of the Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program.
• Strong operations management skills, including records management, reporting, and process oversight.
• Ability to provide customer support and user training in financial systems and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all activities and reviewed documents comply with fiscal laws and funding policies.
• Manage and utilize the Financial Management Records Plan to ensure proper disposition and easy access to financial documentation.
• Prepare, compile, and manage office correspondence, reports, and forms.
• Provide program administration and support for travel, timekeeping, pay, and DAO programs.
• Oversee day-to-day administration for travel, timekeeping, pay, and internal controls, including access documentation and training certificates.
• Maintain Financial Management Records Plan for proper disposition of financial information and correspondence.
• Respond to routine travel, timekeeping, pay, and internal controls requests within 48 hours; urgent requests within 24 hours.
• Assist with creating and processing travel orders and vouchers; maintain DTS, GTCC, ATAAPS accounts; provide training on systems.
• Conduct research and disseminate summaries of changes to the JTR and other applicable policies.
• Oversee compliance with internal controls and management of appointments, accounts, and accesses.
• Support self-assessments, reviews, inspections and audits of financial operations programs with deliverables and responses.
• Analyze performance issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions with estimated return-to-nominal operations.
