Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a diligent Fiscal Technician for the Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging. You will support accurate financial operations, maintain records, and assist in key accounting processes to help serve older adults and caregivers.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and compliance with procedures, with a work schedule 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Telework is not available and the salary may be non-negotiable in some cases.

Qualifications

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant or equivalent experience in maintaining fiscal records.
• Three years of work with fiscal/financial records and basic accounting principles.
• One year of experience maintaining fiscal records with an associate degree in accounting or business administration.

Responsibilities

• Review financial records for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Post data to general ledger from subsidiary reports.
• Prepare and reconcile incoming revenue (cash, checks, donations).
• Maintain payroll by posting changes and producing required reports.
• Manage filing systems and process fiscal documents for reporting.
• Use agency software and databases to complete forms and reports.
