This role supports the financial functions of the agency by maintaining accurate records and assisting with key accounting processes. The position ensures that fiscal information is complete, organized, and compliant with established procedures. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Financial Review: Review financial records and documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedures
  • Ledger Posting: Post data to general ledger accounts using information from subsidiary reports
  • Revenue Processing: Prepare and reconcile incoming revenue, including cash, checks, and donations
  • Payroll Maintenance: Maintain agency payroll by posting changes, reviewing system output, and preparing required reports
  • Record Management: Maintain filing systems and process fiscal documents for federal, state, and county reporting
  • System Utilization: Use agency software and databases to complete forms, documents, and reports
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
