Job summary

GeorgiaTEK Systems Inc. seeks an experienced ERP Finance Business Analyst with strong PeopleSoft Financials expertise to support a corporate finance transformation in Washington, DC.

You will analyze and document finance processes, gather requirements, and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver ERP enhancements. The role focuses on AP, expenses, purchasing, cash management and GL, with emphasis on process mapping, BRDs, functional specs, testing support, and data validation

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a business analyst in finance.
• 5+ years of ERP environment experience, ideally with PeopleSoft.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials and finance processes.
• Proficient in BRDs, functional specs and use cases.
• Strong data validation skills using PeopleSoft Query and Oracle SQL.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops to capture current-state finance processes (Level 3/4).
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements.
• Create process maps and workflow diagrams using Visio.
• Collaborate with Finance, Business, IT and Project teams to identify gaps and improvements.
• Support PeopleSoft Financials initiatives across AP, Expenses, Purchasing, Cash Management, and GL.
• Develop BRDs, functional specs, use cases and project docs.
• Coordinate reviews and obtain sign-off on requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and provide status updates.
• Work with technical teams to ensure proper implementation.
• Support testing, issue resolution, and validation of delivered functionality.
• Contribute to finance transformation and ERP optimization.

ERP Finance Business Analyst – PeopleSoft Financials

Location: Washington, DC

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ERP Finance Business Analyst with strong expertise in PeopleSoft Financials to support a corporate finance transformation initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience analyzing and documenting finance business processes, gathering requirements, and working with business and technical stakeholders to deliver ERP enhancements.

The consultant will support key finance functions including Accounts Payable, Expenses, Purchasing, Cash Management, and General Ledger, while identifying process gaps and opportunities for optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to capture and document Level 3 and Level 4 current-state finance processes.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Create detailed process maps, workflow diagrams, and swim-lane diagrams using Visio.
• Work closely with Finance, Business, IT, and Project teams to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support PeopleSoft Financials initiatives across AP, Expenses, Purchasing, Cash Management, and GL.
• Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, use cases, and project documentation.
• Perform data analysis and validation using PeopleSoft Query and Oracle SQL.
• Coordinate stakeholder reviews and obtain formal approval and sign-off on requirements and process documentation.
• Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly implemented.
• Support testing, issue resolution, and validation of delivered functionality.
• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation, ERP optimization, and process improvement initiatives.
