Job: Senior PeopleSoft Financials Functional Lead (FSCM)

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 Month Contract

We are seeking a highly experienced PeopleSoft Financials Functional Lead to support a large-scale enterprise financial system environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on functional expert who can quickly diagnose complex issues, resolve critical production support tickets, mentor internal teams, and drive operational excellence across PeopleSoft Financials.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in PeopleSoft FSCM, particularly within Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Deposits, Asset Management (AM), General Ledger, and Commitment Control, along with the ability to troubleshoot transactions from both functional and technical perspectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior functional resource for complex Tier 3 production support issues.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve challenging PeopleSoft Financials transaction failures.
• Analyze and correct issues related to deposits, receivables, billing, asset management, budget checking, and General Ledger postings.
• Work closely with business users to identify root causes and recommend sustainable solutions.

Functional Analysis & Reverse Engineering

• Trace transaction flow across modules to identify process breaks and data anomalies.
• Reverse-engineer failed transactions when end users are unable to reproduce the original actions.
• Diagnose posting errors, budget check failures, accounting distribution issues, and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Interpret front-end business processes alongside backend PeopleSoft data structures.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Create and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, process documentation, and workflow diagrams.
• Standardize operational procedures and improve efficiency across financial processes.
• Develop repeatable guidelines for transaction validation and issue resolution.
• Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to internal team members.
• Explain root causes, troubleshooting methodologies, and best practices rather than simply resolving issues.
• Help build long-term internal capability and reduce dependency on external support.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate directly with business users, finance teams, and operational stakeholders.
• Facilitate meetings, gather requirements, and communicate functional solutions clearly.
• Provide guidance and support during issue investigation and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) functional experience.
• Strong experience supporting PeopleSoft Financials v9.2 environments.
