Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financials ERP Business Analyst to serve as the primary business analysis resource supporting an ERP Financial Management System (FMS) modernization initiative. The ideal candidate will bring deep ERP Finance expertise, strong business analysis and process improvement skills, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements and implementation-ready deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the gathering, documentation, and validation of business and functional requirements across Finance workstreams, including Budget, Pay to Procurement, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Projects/Grants, Asset Management, and General Ledger (GL).
• Analyze current-state PeopleSoft processes and design future-state Workday solutions, identifying gaps, opportunities, and risks.
• Develop and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, business process documentation, process flows, user stories, and use cases.
• Support implementation readiness, design workshops, system configuration, and solution implementation activities.
• Identify business process gaps, document business decisions, and maintain requirements traceability.
• Perform data analysis, data mapping, and migration validation to ensure data integrity throughout the transition.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions with business, Finance, and technical teams.
• Present findings, recommendations, and requirements documentation to executive and senior stakeholders.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through design, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with project management and functional teams to align business requirements with project plans and organizational objectives.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, test case development, execution, and defect resolution.
• Identify and document business process risks and requirements gaps and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Assist with the development of training materials and support end-user training activities.
• Contribute to RACI and RAID log activities from a business requirements and process perspective.
• Support post-implementation activities, including lessons learned and process improvement recommendations.
• Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality business analysis deliverables according to established project timelines.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of Business Analysis experience, including at least 3 years supporting ERP Finance or ERP implementations.
• Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft and/or Workday, including process analysis and requirements mapping.
• Deep knowledge of financial functional areas, including Budget, Pay to Procurement, AR, Billing, Projects/Grants, Asset Management, and GL.
• Proven ability to gather, analyze, translate, and communicate complex business requirements to technical and executive audiences.
• Experience with data analysis, data mapping, and migration validation.
• Experience developing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
• Experience leading implementation readiness activities and developing implementation-ready business analysis artifacts.
• Familiarity with RACI frameworks and RAID log activities.
• Experience with SDLC, Agile, and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting PeopleSoft-to-Workday migrations or implementations.
• Experience working in public-sector or government technology environments.
