Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a Student Assistant for Financial Assistance (Work-Study) to support daily operations in the Office of Financial Assistance. The role is open to UIW students eligible for Federal Work-Study and offers a flexible, on-campus work environment with duties including processing mail, filing, assisting with information sessions and orientation.

Qualifications

• Basic office skills: organizing, filing, phones, etiquette.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently.
• Knowledge of resources and services for students and alumni.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and cultures.
• Adherence to University, Conference, and NCAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Support a student-oriented environment.
• Assist with information sessions as needed.
• Provide coverage during office meetings (approx. 1 hour).
• Process deliveries from daily mail runs (open and stamp).
• Provide support during Freshman Orientation in the summer.
• Assist advisors with tasks.
• Scan and file documents.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
