Job summary

Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, NE seeks a Financial Coordinator to support federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs under the Director of Financial Aid and Compliance. You will determine and authorize awards using the SIS, support Prisoner Education Program, Workforce Pell, and other special projects, and assist with reporting and compliance.

The ideal candidate has higher education financial aid experience and can work on-site at Fort Omaha Campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent
• Three years of full-time related work experience
• Must pass background check

Responsibilities

• Calculates, authorizes, and finalizes financial aid awards in compliance with regulations.
• Processes and maintains accurate financial aid records to ensure timely disbursement.
• Provides specialized support for Prisoner Education Program and other initiatives.
• Advises students on eligibility and procedures.
• Monitors SAP compliance for recipients.
• Completes federal and institutional reports.
• Processes returns of federal funds for withdrawals.
• Develops and tests reports to support compliance and data integrity.
• Leads projects and maintains internal policies for federal programs.
• Delivers technical training on compliance updates and processes.
• Collaborates with internal/external partners on policy compliance.
• Engages in professional development.
