Job summary

Metropolitan Community College is seeking a Financial Coordinator to support administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs. You will determine and authorize awards using SIS, and provide specialized support for Prisoner Education Program, Workforce Pell, and other projects.

You will process applications, ensure compliance, and assist with reporting while advising students on eligibility and procedures. A strong background in higher education is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
• Three (3) years of full-time related work experience.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Calculates, authorizes, and finalizes financial aid awards per regulations.
• Maintains accurate financial aid records in SIS for timely disbursement.
• Supports Prisoner Education Program and other special initiatives.
• Advises students on eligibility, procedures, and program requirements.
• Monitors SAP standards and completes required federal reports.
• Develops, tests, and runs reports to support compliance and data integrity.
• Delivers technical training on updates and special program requirements.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to ensure compliance.
