Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends with advanced notice.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with productivity software and spreadsheets; ability to send/receive email and submit electronic forms.
  • Ability to multi-task across departments and activities.
  • Familiarity with college operations and customer service expectations.
  • Preferred: minimum of 3 years of pre-qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel students with the financial aid application process.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and confidential financial records.
  • Evaluate Satisfactory Academic Progress and prepare student notifications.
  • Assist with verification processes and document collection.
  • Process financial aid records and determine eligibility.
  • Assist with Special Circumstances determinations and childcare programs.
  • Administer Federal Work-Study and track funds with oversight from Director.
  • Prepare award notifications and coordinate state grants.
