The Scholar Retention Intern will support scholars by collectingdata, identifying gaps in student success, and coordinatingcommunication timelines that help students stay on track to persistand graduate. We are seeking a detail‑oriented, compassionate,energetic, and creative intern who can manage small projects,organize outreach cycles, and think outside the box to strengthenscholar engagement.
This intern will help connect scholars to resources, mentors, andsuccess pathways by monitoring retention indicators, coordinatingmilestone‑based communication, and supporting targeted outreachduring key academic periods. Their work ensures scholars receivetimely, personalized information and feel supported throughouttheir academic journey. By blending data‑informed insights withstudent‑centered communication, the intern will play a meaningfulrole in helping scholars maintain momentum and progress towardgraduation.
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technicaltasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the studentassistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other studentsor provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6credit hours at Wichita State University.

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate acomputer and other office equipment including but not limited tophone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicatewith others and accurately exchange information.
