The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a student assistant in Undergraduate Admissions to support college readiness initiatives. This position will work with various college and career centers atlocal high schools to assist students with the college searchprocess. The goal of the coach position is to help high schoolstudents feel informed about their future decisions, wherever thatnext step might be.
A student assistant will carry out administrative and technicaltasks requested by a supervisor. Depending on the area the studentassistant is employed in, they may assist and mentor other studentsor provide support throughout the campus in various forms.
Carry out administrative and technical tasks related to collegereadiness. Conduct office hours at local high schools to assiststudents on their college search. Gain knowledge related to collegereadiness, topics such as applications, scholarships, FAFSA, andadditional opportunities available in higher education.
High School diploma or equivalent. Enrolled in a minimum of 6credit hours at Wichita State University.
Student must be a domestic undergrad studying at least one of thefollowing eligible programs: Psychology, Social Work,Organizational Leadership, Communication (various emphasesconsidered), or Education (various emphases considered).

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Ability to operate acomputer and other office equipment including but not limited tophone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Ability to communicatewith others and accurately exchange information.
