Job summary

The University of Central Florida's Office of Student Financial Assistance in Orlando is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator I to join our team. You will oversee student loan programs and assist students and families with eligibility, applications, and aid requirements.

The role focuses on understanding federal, state, and institutional regulations, becoming SME in the unit, and ensuring accurate packaging, verification, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree.
• Preferred 1–2 years in administrative or student-facing roles in higher education.
• Understanding of financial aid requirements and processes.
• Basic computer proficiency and accurate typing.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and families on financial aid options and eligibility.
• Respond to inquiries via email, in-person, referrals, and virtual.
• Monitor SAP and advise on maintaining aid eligibility.
• Review and resolve discrepancies in student records.
• Assist in awarding and packaging financial aid.
• Process scholarship packaging and loan processing.
• Update aid packages for changes in eligibility.
• Ensure compliance with Title IV and related regulations.
• Participate in trainings and workshops.
• Contribute to projects to improve aid processing.
