Job summary

AIM is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor at our Orlando campus to guide students through federal and institutional aid options and ensure compliant, timely processing of applications.

As part of the Campus Compliance & Administration team, you’ll coordinate with other departments, assist with FAFSA/ISIR checks, and help students navigate available resources while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply financial aid regulations, process applications accurately, and maintain up-to-date records.
• Provide exceptional support to students by explaining financial aid options and guiding them through the application process.
• Work with other departments to resolve issues and enhance the student experience, demonstrating analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process financial aid documentation, including VA Education Benefits, Military Tuition Assistance, and scholarships, to ensure students have funds for tuition.
• Monitor FAFSA submissions and ISIRs, maintaining accurate records and completing timely verification for selected files.
• Track Master Promissory Notes (MPNs) via COD and conduct entrance and exit loan counseling sessions for students.
• Stay updated on financial aid regulations to ensure compliance while reviewing incomplete student files and disbursing funds only when eligible.
• Monitor student accounts for proper financial aid packaging and oversee cash flow to ensure timely funding disbursement.
• Meet with incoming students to explain available aid options and necessary documentation, providing ongoing support and referring to appropriate staff for advising.
