Job summary

LaGuardia Community College is seeking a Workforce Specialist, Financial Aid Liaison to support the implementation of financial aid policies for Workforce Programs, review eligibility and aid disbursement, and serve as liaison between Financial Aid and the ACE Division. This grant-funded role reports to the Director of Workforce Pell Implementation Initiatives and collaborates with Enrollment Management.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least five years in financial aid

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial aid administration or higher education compliance.
Knowledge of NYS and Federal Title IV financial aid regulations.
Experience working with student information systems.

Responsibilities

Assist with implementing financial aid policies related to Workforce Programs and ACE collaboration.
Review workforce programs for compliance with federal/state aid eligibility requirements.
Verify student eligibility and aid disbursement processes.
Serve as liaison between Financial Aid and the ACE Division.
Assist with compliance reporting and documentation.
Provide frontline advising to prospective and enrolled workforce students on financial aid options and deadlines.
