Job summary

University of Washington Bothell seeks a Counselor for Enrollment Services- Financial Aid. You will administer and evaluate student financial aid eligibility under federal, state, and institutional rules, advising students and adjusting aid as needed.

You will verify FAFSA data, process corrections, and collaborate with the Admissions office to award merit scholarships while handling multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years in higher education student services
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Advising students on financial aid via phone, email, and in person; initially award based on eligibility and adjust for special circumstances
• Verify FAFSA data, process corrections and document professional judgments; collaborate with UW Bothell Admissions for merit scholarships
• Review reports and analyze data to determine impact on eligibility; adjust aid packages accordingly
• Coordinate UW Bothell General Scholarship process twice per academic year
• Perform community outreach at workshops and coordinate materials and presentations
• Review federal/state updates to maintain knowledge of regulatory changes; perform other duties as assigned
