Job summary

Athelas is seeking a Director of Finance Strategy & Operations in the United States to unify finance processes and lead multi-team initiatives across finance, revenue operations, engineering, legal, people, and product. This role owns outcomes from design to delivery, driving change that scales a growing, pre-IPO healthcare technology business.

You will partner with senior leaders to align definitions, owners, and timelines, and you’ll be the face of finance in cross-functional programs,

Qualifications

• 8+ years across FP&A, strategic finance, business operations, finance transformation, consulting, and/or chief-of-staff roles in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with SQL and low/no-code dashboarding tools (e.g., Retool, Looker) is a plus.
• Experience with healthcare SaaS, pre-IPO settings, M&A integration, or program management certifications is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to run steering meetings and brief senior leaders.
• Strong process orientation: map current state, define future state, assign owners, and establish cadence.

Responsibilities

• Own cross-functional finance programs end-to-end across finance, revenue ops, engineering, legal, people, and product.
• Define scope, sequence work, set ownership, and drive programs to completion.
• Partner with business systems, engineering, and vendors to implement tools and data flows (NetSuite, Salesforce, planning platforms).
• Drive AI/automation within finance processes and establish governance with the AI & Technology Finance lead.
• Prepare finance org for IPO-readiness, including controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
