Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Finance Segment Manager to lead financial analysis, planning, and data mining for its segments. You will support FP&A, consolidate data with cross-functional teams, and deliver timely, insightful analysis to executives.

The role requires strong technical skills, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple reporting and modeling duties. Responsibilities include close activities, reviewing P&Ls, analytics, and driving key initiatives across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance required.
• Master's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred.
• 6+ years in Accounting/Finance or related field required.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Workday and Adaptive Insights Intermediate preferred.
• Programming and relational database design/query intermediate preferred.
• Microsoft PowerBI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages financials of assigned accounts/product lines, including monthly close, P&L review, and journal entries.
• Consolidates, analyzes financial data and presents results to senior leadership.
• Lead projects spanning multiple locations and coordinate with Operations, Finance, IT, and Sales.
• Coach and review work of lower-level professionals.
• Conduct periodic audits of operations to ensure controls.
