Job summary

Akamai's Financial Development Program (AFDP) offers a 3-year rotation across finance areas including planning, analysis, budgeting, and systems, with mentorship from leaders and program leadership.

As an Associate Financial Analyst you will build budgets, forecast results, perform variance analyses, learn finance systems, and deliver timely reporting while developing data and models to drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• Be graduating with a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field between January - June 2027(preferred)
• Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have prior internship or work experience in financial analysis or a similar role
• Demonstrate leadership capability and initiative to learn new roles.

Responsibilities

• Developing the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource planning analysis
• Performing deep-dive variance analysis on spend areas, collaborating with our accounting team to ensure proper expense recognition
• Learning the underlying systems, tools, and reporting cadences used across the finance organization to support the business
• Providing timely financial reporting of monthly results and analysis of key variances, business drivers, metrics, and trends
• Developing new data, reports, models, and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
• Identifying process improvement opportunities, gaining support for changes, and leading implementation collaboratively with our teams
