Job summary

Akamai Financial Development Program (AFDP) is a three-year rotation across finance specialties designed to build leadership and business acumen. You will complete three one-year assignments, with mentorship from program leadership and mentors, developing skills in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytics while rotating through business/product line finance, commercial finance, and FP&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field, with graduation window ideally Jan–Jun 2027
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Prior internship or work experience in financial analysis or a similar role
• Demonstrated leadership capability and initiative to learn new roles

Responsibilities

• Develop the annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and outlooks, and resource planning analysis
• Perform deep-dive variance analysis on spend areas, collaborating with our accounting team to ensure proper expense recognition
• Learn the underlying systems, tools, and reporting cadences used across the finance organization to support the business
• Provide timely financial reporting of monthly results and analysis of key variances, business drivers, metrics, and trends
• Develop new data, reports, models, and ad hoc analyses to support business needs
• Identify process improvement opportunities, gaining support for changes, and leading implementation collaboratively with our teams
