Job summary

Mariner Finance is seeking an experienced Payroll Leader to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring accurate, timely processing and strict compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

You will partner with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors to improve controls, implement system enhancements, and lead internal and external payroll audits while guiding a payroll team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field; 4 years of college coursework or experience can substitute.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive payroll experience in high-volume multi-state environment.
• Experience administering payroll for large workforce with high accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll for biweekly cycles across states.
• Own payroll operations including calculations, balancing, approvals, and confirmations.
• Administer and maintain payroll systems; coordinate testing and upgrades.
