Qualifications

• Three or more years in accounts payable, bookkeeping, payroll support, or staff accounting.
• Solid grasp of accrual accounting, reconciliations, and how a transaction flows to the financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or comparable software.
• Strong spreadsheet skills, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Attention to detail with payroll and financial information.
• Ability to communicate with owners and field managers when gathering information.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable: review, code, and enter vendor bills across entities in QuickBooks Online; prepare payments and reconcile statements.
• Payroll support: gather hours, deductions, and changes; reconcile reports and enter payroll data.
• Month-end close: perform reconciliations, adjustments, and intercompany entries with the Finance Operations Manager.
• Process improvement and automation: map workflows, identify manual steps, and test tools like bill capture and bank rules.
• Analysis and projects: build schedules, support tax/audit prep, and respond to month-end questions.
