Job summary

LuxBrush Painting Co. and Affiliated Companies in Vermont seeks a Finance Operations Specialist to join a small finance team. You will process payables, assist payroll, and help implement automation across multiple entities, while maintaining accurate books and timely reporting.

You’ll work closely with the Finance Operations Manager to map processes, reconcile accounts, and drive improvements that save time and reduce errors. Strong QuickBooks and Excel skills required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in accounts payable, bookkeeping, payroll support, or staff accounting.
• Strong grasp of accrual accounting and how transactions flow to financial statements.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online or comparable software.
• Strong spreadsheet skills with lookups, pivot tables, and clean exports.
• Discretion with payroll and financial information.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable across entities and ensure timely approvals.
• Support payroll by gathering hours, PTO, bonuses, and deductions and reconciling entries.
• Perform month-end close activities including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Map workflows and help test and implement automation tools like bill capture and bank rules.
• Support tax and audit prep and respond to month-end inquiries.
