Job summary

Alaska Behavioral Health is seeking an Office Manager in Anchorage, AK. This full-time exempt role oversees fiscal operations, billing processes, and financial reporting within the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic network.

The candidate will liaise with the CFO, manage third-party payer relationships, and coordinate credentialing. A bachelor’s degree or progress toward one with 5+ years of relevant experience is required, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or progressed toward a bachelor’s from an accredited college/university with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with third-party payers, coding, billing, posting, and adjudication of claims.
• At least 3 years of experience collecting, analyzing and reporting financial data.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and related privacy/regulatory requirements.
• Able to work independently or in a team; proactive problem solving and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Clinic complies with policies and procedures regarding fiscal operations.
• Serve as liaison between the Clinic and the Chief Financial Officer.
• Manage budgeting, accounts receivable/payable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate managed care billing with Intake Coordinator and Clinic Director; manage third-party insurer relationships.
• Coordinate clinician credentialing (CAQH) for third-party insurance.
• Maintain and monitor financial records ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Assist clients with billing-related matters and resolve insurance issues.
• Establish policies for risk management and business continuity.
• Collaborate on financial data collection, trend analysis, and reporting with the Cohen Veterans Network.
